Vektorprogrammet

About Us 

Vektorprogrammet is working to increase the interest in mathematics and science among pupils in middle school. We are a national student organization that sends math competent students to schools to help the pupils in math classes. These students have good pedagogic skills and are great role models. 

Vektorprogrammet wishes to improve the pupil’s math skills in middle school. These skills lead to a feeling of accomplishment, which leads to more motivation for the subject. Math is the foundation of all science courses, and our goal is that this motivation also will encourage them to try other science courses.

We want all our students to be left with a greater motivation for their studies after having been an assistant for Vektorprogrammet. We know from experience that using your own knowledge to increase the pupils’ mastery and joy of the subject is a great source of motivation and joy for our assistants. We also host various social events for our assistants throughout the semester, like bowling, grilling, go-kart and paintball.

We’re recruiting new assistants at the beginning of each semester, so you’ll find us at stands at Gløshaugen in this period. We also host a presentation of ourselves on the application deadline day, with free pizza for the participants.
