Hackerspace NTNU

About Us

Hackerspace NTNU is a student-run organization from IDI and is open to all students regardless of field of study. The organization consists of the management, LabOps, DevOps and project groups. Our active project groups are project game and project handheld gaming console. In addition to a recently started interest group for Robot Wars. With us, you will find new technology at your disposal, including 3D printers and Virtual Reality equipment.

Our workshop is open from 10:15-18:00 every weekday. You can find us on the second floor in the A-block of Realfagbygget at NTNU Gløshaugen. We have a workshop shift list for active members to make sure you will always be welcomed at the workshop. Whether you are a first year who needs help with your first Arduino project or a fourth year who wants to make a 3D model of Trondheim, we can provide both equipment and expertise. Feel free to stop by if you need help with a project, want some coffee in the morning or just want to chat. If you have any questions, join our Slack-channel. It is open to all NTNU students.

We hold regular courses for both beginners and advanced students in many exciting subjects. Among these we have beginner courses in arduino, linux and soldering. Hackerspace also attends different events, some of these being Spillexpo and Trondheim Skaperfest. We have annual social events for our members at the start and end of each semester, where you can meet both old and new members of the organization.
